May 2, 2013 - Thursday Vigil (AMAZING STORY!)

(AMAZING STORY!!)

Beautiful sunny evening last Th night, but Christine & I were both glad we put our sweaters on as it got a bit windy & chilly toward the end of our prayer hour. We faced WomanCare abortion mill, shared holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground then Christine began our opening prayers after mentioning all our prayer intentions. She then said the Holy Rosary reading a brief Glorious Mystery meditation before each Hail Mary.

As we were praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, especially for the conversion of all abortion doctors & their staffs, a young man, Eric, 22, stopped by & said he was going to drive by but then suddenly felt he had to stop to ask us if he could share his story with us. Christine said absolutely.  This time with him turned out to be such a great blessing for the three of us!!!. When he was 18 & his girlfriend Lexy was 16 "they got pregnant."  So young, confused, what were they going to do, parents not happy at all. He talked about all the emotions that we pro-lifers have heard so often. He did not want the abortion, but she & her parents had it done. They broke up, got back together & have a lot of sorthing through but are both older & he knows all with work out because ~~~ along the way, he found our Savior Jesus Christ & his baptism was last week & his healing continues. He was so on fire & in love with Jesus & he wants to be the best man he can be for his litle one in heaven~they named their baby Sunny because they do not know if it is a boy or girl. I told him his baby is waiting to give him a big hug hello when he is called home to heaven. He said he knows he will see his baby one day. Christine & I felt such joy for this man. He simply stopped to share this with us & asked us to pray for him & Lexy. I said I would pass his story along on our blog & he could be assured that "a kabillion" PW's would be praying for him & Lexy. He said "can we pray right now?"  We said "sure, would you like to lead the prayer?" O my gosh!!! what a prayer he then said!!! We three held hands & Eric offered up the most beautiful prayer to Our Lord, thanking Him for getting him through all the pain he has suffered & to watch over their little one.  He also thanked Our Lord for the joy he now feels since he has been healed & for the blessing of praying with these beautiful ladies & for strength to be a good man the rest of his life. WOW!!! We three hugged good bye, gave him our info packette & Christine asked him to join us in prayer again some Thursday night. That would be great.

I truly believe that our new sign ~  THE COST OF ABORTION with the three DARLING!!! babies underneath (see last week's post) is causing waves, smiles, thumbs up, nods of approval, peace signs toward us. I most definitely feel that is what tugged at Eric's heart & soul because as he walked up to us he first pointed to the sign & said yeah & nodded his head with a look of sorrow in his eyes & then began his story with a very joyful look shining in his eyes. We said the Pledge of Allegiance & Christine closed our prayer
vigil with a beautiful prayer of thanksgiving.  (Jenny)

I invite all of you to be with us in prayer one Thursday evening when your schedule allows.
