6:00 p.m. Vigil
It
was warm again this evening, but still needed a sweater or jacket. I blest
myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground around me, faced
WomanCare abortion mill & began the opening prayers. Maribeth
arrived...yeah!!! She took over reading our opening prayers as we walked along
the grass area to & from the light. Ray joined us as we were saying
the Rosary...yeah!!! Maribeth read a brief pro-life meditation from the booklet
What God Says About Abortion before each prayer of the Rosary then a Luminous
Mystery meditation. We heard a drive by screamer~ “go to hell”….. we
prayed for that misguided soul. We know that we will all have to answer for the
words spoken while here on earth so we asked God to let His Light shine
into that hardened heart. Then we heard a bunch of happy honks & a
young woman was giving us thumbs up with a great big smile. Then a couple of
former PW's stopped by to talk to us & get info regarding the 40 Days for
Life Prayer Campaign going on right now as well as Right to Life info. They
plan to get involved in both again... so great!!! (There is always something positive that
happens when we pray outside the clinic—God always makes good out of the
negatives—thank You Holy Mighty One!)
To
close our vigil, Ray said the pro-life prayer written by JPII & then we
three looked at our beautiful American flag & said the Pledge of
Allegiance. We know the cold, Michigan weather is on its way, but totally
enjoyed this evening’s sunny, warm prayer vigil. (Jenny)
