When I arrived, Lisa & Benny were finishing their 5pm Prayer Vigil. We talked for a bit about the plans being made for next year's March for Life bus trip from this area. I plan to go as well as other PW's so we should have a nice group speaking up for the end of abortion in Wash DC next year. (I wonder if the press will cover it next year???) I guess 650,000 folks peacefully praying, marching for the unborn wasn't newsworthy in the eyes of some of our "media" this year. EWTN sure did do some excellent coverage & with email, twitter, facebook, etc, I'm sure the truth got out that the majority of Americans are not!!! ok with killing babies in the womb. Lord, help our country!!!
I blest myself & sprinkled the ground a bit with holy water & began the opening prayers facing traffic holding my Pray to End Abortion sign. Maribeth joined me... yeah!!! & we finished the rest of the prayers as we walked along the sidewalk which is not!!! clear in some parts. Huge piles of snow are plowed but 3/4 of the sidewalk is covered with these piles so I sure do hope the kids & everyone who is walking here is looking out back & forth for cars driving to the various stores because some of them drive really!!! fast. Every time we got to a big puddle or huge pile of snow I would turn completely around to check out for cars driving up behind us. We talked a little about the March for Life next year & really do think there will be a good group going from this area. We said the Rosary, with a brief Luminous Mystery before each Hail Mary & sang our three short prayers after each decade. We prayed for all involved in abortion in any way this evening. There were lots of happy honks & waves toward us. To close our vigil, we faced the beautiful American flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance. My fingers were freezing so it was good to get warmed up in the car. I picked up my carry out from My Pizza Place (greek salad & cheese stick & dipping sauce... so excellent!!!) & warmed up totally on the way home. (Jenny)

Day 15 - February 27, 2013
Morning Prayer Vigil
Very little cleared space on the sidewalk. The cement -like snow makes quite a fortress. St. Martin's adopted 10-noon today.
Prayed with Regina and Richard. Eleanor prayed in her car. It is always a blessed time to pray with tireless warriors. We hope that all Christians are praying at home for an end to the massacre of 3,000 innocents each day.
We always welcome prayer warriors on the front line-- the sidewalk. In God we trust! (Sue)
6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil
Christine joined me last night. We blest ourselves with holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground, & began with all the opening prayers facing Womancare abortion mill. She offered up various pro-life intentions we would be praying for during our vigil. High piles of snow were covering most of the sidewalk, so we huddled together at the end section. Right away a car waiting to make a left-hand turn caught my eye, the passenger, a young women, was smiling & waving like crazy. I waved back & held up my Pray to End Abortion sign & she gave a thumbs up. Next was the Rosary & Christine read the brief Glorious Mystery for us to think about before each Hail Mary. (Dear Aunt Stella, so many PW's are using your "Praying the Rosary without Distractions" booklet you gave me years ago. I know you are smiling down from Heaven just so happy about that... I love & miss you so very much!!!) We receive one negative last night. The cars were stopped because of the traffic light & a window was rolled down & the young lady help up "the finger". I said "Jesus loves you very much & He forgives you." She crouched down a bit & pulled in her arm. Then the driver leaned over & I saw "the finger". I said "Jesus loves you also very much & He forgives you." Traffic began to move & the window rolled up. Neither one of them looked at me but I know they heard me & that is all that matters. Such disrespect from a few young ones is nothing!!! compared to all the positives we get & the negatives bring us PW's closer to Our Lord because we remember what He suffered for our sins & it makes us realize the tiny insults we bear out there praying for the end of the evil of abortion are nothing!!! compared to what He suffered for us. Christine & I said a quick prayer for those two sad, lost, misguided souls that Our Lord will wrap His loving arms around them & let His healing surge through their hearts & souls & bring them out of the culture of death & into His truth & light. We continued with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy especially for the abortion doctors then read all the songs as prayers from my booklet ~ Closing Mass, National Prayer Vigil for Life, Jan 25, which I kept from when I was with a few friends...650,000!!! at the March for Life in Washington DC. You can go on a virtual tour via this website on the back of this booklet. www.nationalshrine.com. Remember, I was there!!! looking at all those beautiful things!!! I get tears in my eyes because it was just soooo beautiful being there in person after seeing that church all these years on EWTN!!! (Jenny)

Day 14 - February 26, 2013
Due to the freezing rain I will NOT be going to pray on-site at WomanCare abortion mill. Tom asked me to PLEASE not go & walking onto our patio & slipping a bit in freezing slush made me say ok. I DO NOT like driving in freezing rain. So, I will be praying from 6-7pm here with my HPW husband for the end of this evil. We will say the Rosary meditating on the Sorrowful Mysteries, the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn, The Chaplet of Divine Mercy & Stations of the Cross. All these are recorded from EWTN, so this will be a beautiful hour spent in prayer with Tom.
Someone had said to me a long time ago that God does not want us out there getting sick or in bad weather so tonight is most definitely one of those nights. I hate not being on-site, but the freezing rain did it for me & I know that God answers every prayer from anywhere we decide to pray & that is a comforting thought. See ya all tomorrow night if you can join me. (Jenny)

Day 13 - February 25, 2013
I blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground, held my Pray to End Abortion sign & walked to & from WomanCare abortion mill saying all my opening prayers. Paul B joined me, faced WomanCare abortion mill & silently prayed the Rosary. I continued slowly walking & prayed the Rosary with a brief Joyful Mystery meditation before each Hail Mary to think about. Paul had to leave after his Rosary, so nice of him to join me this evening!!! I then sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy continuing for all involved in abortion in any way but especially for the abortion doctors, that something would open their minds to the evil procedure they are performing on these tiny, little babies & they would finally leave the culture of death & join us pro-life folks to save the babies (which is what doctors are supposed to be all about... saving!!! not killing!!!) Lord, help each one of them, please.
I faced the flag & sang America the Beautiful, My Country 'tis of thee & said the Pledge of Allegiance. I had a bit of time left so sang a true PW's song~ Here I am Lord. It goes like this:
This is truly one of my favorite songs to sing, especially when I'm the lone PW & can just belt it out as the cars go by. If they hear me, they probably think I a fool, but being a fool for the Lord is something that really does not bother me & praying for life to be given to unborn babies is a good cause to be out there for, so I sing from my heart & soul to the Lord to let Him know... HERE I AM LORD!!!
Some PW's say it is not easy being out there alone, but I can honestly say that it has gotten much easier as these 4+ years have gone by. ALSO!!! Shawn's daily updates, the various reflections from our pro-life leaders, joining in with PW's all over this world saying the daily prayer & reading the other PW's blog as well as those bloggers on our own website in this area just lets me know that we PW's must NEVER, EVER give up ~ these tiny, precious, helpless boys & girls in the womb are counting on us ~ they have absolutely NO VOICE OR RIGHTS in this world right now, so WE MUST STAND STRONG FOR THESE LITTLE ONES. (Jenny)

I, the Lord of sea & sky. I have heard My people cry. All who dwell in dark & sin, My hand will save. I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright. Who will bear My light to them? Whom shall I send?
Chorus (which brings tears to my eyes every time I sing it): Here I am Lord. Is it I Lord? I have heard You calling in the night. I will go Lord, if You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart.
~ I actually had just enough time before 7pm to sing the complete song!!! How about that!! The rest of it goes like this: I, the Lord of snow & rain. I have born My peoples pain. I have wept for love of them, They turn away. I will break their hearts of stone. Give them hearts for love alone. I will speak My word to them, Whom shall I send?
Chorus...Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord?... I, the Lord of wind & flame. I will tend the poor & lame. I will set a feast for them. My hand will save. Finest bread I will provide. Till their hearts be satisfied. I will give My life to them, Whom shall I send?
Chorus...Hear I am Lord, is it I Lord?

Day 12 - February 24, 2013
3:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil
Glen was the first Prayer Warrior to arrive he was early so we prayed the rosary together. Then at 3:00p we were joined by Regina and Jerry, Kathy, and Bill. We prayed and sang from the Family Prayer Book. A lady stopped and asked Where the Abortion Clinic was. She was in disbelief that Women Care was it. Another lady stopped in tears, thanking us for praying for an end to abortion. She is beside herself that family members and so many in society think abortion is a right. You cannot believe how we were encouraged by her appreciation and sensitivity.
I asked myself, where are your tears? Lord, soften my heart. Help me to fight the battle. At the end of our vigil, up walks a little family from Hamtramak. We were so happy to see them. Their little girl is growing and a little shy and very beautiful. We gave them a Family Prayer Book.
The weather is cold but may our hearts remain warm and faithful. In God we trust! (Sue)
6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil
Although I was the lone PW at Sunday's 6pm Prayer Vigil, it was so great to read about the 3pm Family Vigil below~Thank you Sue!!! Also, I knew St. Thecla folks were planning on praying there all day Sunday. I had seen Kathy & Mike earlier at St. T's & they said they were going there after 10am Mass as well as attending the 3pm Vigil & that was so great!!! to hear. There was an excellent whole page article regarding St. Thecla's Adopt a Day today...wow!!! You can view it on their website ~ www.stthecla.com
I know there are PW's all over this world praying around the clock, so even if we are out there alone, we should not ever feel discouraged because we are joined "in spirit" with many, many other PW's.
I blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground & said the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn & the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel for all PW's & HPW's. The Baghdad Market man stopped his truck to read my sign, smiled, waved & nodded his head. What an excellent way to begin my prayer vigil. I placed my lit Our Lady of Guadalupe candle on the ground next to me. It was in the 30's with no wind so I faced the abortion mill most of the time & walked a little bit also. I prayed for all involved in abortion in any way while I said/sang the Rosary, reading a Sorrowful Mystery meditation before each Hail Mary. Then for all abortion doctors I sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy from the booklet that my sister printed up for me (with St. Faustina's meditations on our Lord's Passion.) This always brings tears to my eyes as various parts. I closed my vigil looking at the flag singing America the Beautiful & said the pledge of allegiance.
I was able to talk to the lady from the carry out Chinese place which has been closed for a while now. I hugged her from all of us when she said her husband is going to have back surgery. She said us PW's are always so nice to them so I told her we would keep her~his caregiver & him in our prayers. I made her laugh when I told her to tell him when he comes back & has to train someone to help him with the cooking, does he want to train a French, Irish, Finish, Indian gal ~ me??? :o) She really laughed & said she would definitely tell him that & it would cheer him up. We hugged good bye. She is such a darling woman who very much appreciates us being out there in prayer for the unborn.

Day 11 - February 23, 2013
Hello all, I was the lone prayer warrior for the 6pm Prayer Vigil tonight, no problem!!! I blest myself with holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground & said the Rosary meditating on the Joyful Mysteries then sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy all for those involved in abortion in any way. I closed the vigil with a few America songs & the Pledge of Allegiance. I could not stop thinking about an EWTN program I watched earlier today, "Footsteps of God', about our early saints & how they died such horrible deaths because they followed the teachings of Jesus. I thought to myself, how could I even complain about the cold weather. We suffer nothing!!! compared to the early Christians did. We are so blest in our country. I am so thankful to God for all He gives us. I asked the saints continue to pray for us to have the courage to keep the prayer vigils going & letting folks know that we will never go away & will continue to speak out against the killing of the unborn. Shawn's reports let us know we are most definitely not alone in this pro-life work & not alone in the cold weather. (Jenny)
Day 10 - February 22, 2013
Nick & I shared holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground. We said the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn to close his 5pm & begin my 6pm Prayer Vigil. What a difference a day makes!!! Last night~22 degrees, fingers & toes burning from the cold. This evening~33 degrees, no wind, such a "warm" Michigan night for my peaceful hour for the precious unborn. I heard a drive-by screamer right away but have no idea if what he said was a positive or negative but the rest of the hour happy honks were heard...thank you Jesus!!!. I said a special thanksgiving prayer for Aunt Stella whose birthday would have been today. I know she is in Heaven & most definitely prays with me "in spirit" when I'm at the abortion mill. As I walked slowing back & forth along 15 Mile I said all the opening prayers then said/sang Rosary reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery before each Hail Mary. I closed my vigil singing America songs & said the Pledge of Allegiance. I offered up my hour for all involved in abortion in any way. It's good to see all the great things happening all over this world as reported by Shawn below. It shows us that our prayers are truly being answered. (Jenny)
Day 9 - February 21, 2013
When I arrived at WomanCare abortion mill, I joined Nick, Benny, Lisa & Lieka praying the last decade of the Rosary as they closed their 5pm prayer vigil. We shared holy water & said our good byes.
With my lit Lady of Guadalupe candle I faced the abortion mill & said all my opening prayers to start the 6pm prayer vigil. Maribeth arrived...yeah!!! We saw a white truck drive by & the man rolled his window down & yelled "go home." I said to Maribeth "we will never go home until this evil ends." We always pray for the drive-by screamers. They are so misguided about the killing of the unborn. Jesus, please heal their hardened hearts. Amen!!! We then started our walking toward the traffic light & back to the abortion mill praying the Rosary reading a brief Luminous Mystery before each Hail Mary.
We then saw our precious Susan. We hugged hello & told her she is in the daily prayers of so many of us. It was great that she felt good enough to join us in prayer & a nice relaxing dinner was planned after the prayer vigil. We sang American the Beautiful & My country 'tis of thee as we looked at our beautiful American flag then said the Pledge of Allegiance & Maribeth said a beautiful closing prayer in thanksgiving for all the PW's who step out of their comfort zone & pray in front of the killing mills all over the world. My fingers were burning from the cold so I put on warmer gloves. I must admit that we don't have it too bad here, 22 degrees is nowhere near -3 like the PW's talk about below, so thank you Jesus!!! (Jenny)

Day 8 - February 20, 2013
I said hello/good bye to Nick as I arrived. Then facing WomanCare abortion mill I blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground & said the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn & for all on-site PW's & HPW's said the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel. I could feel the light freezing rain starting up as I started the Rosary. Maribeth arrived...yeah!!! We walked to & from the abortion mill as Maribeth offered all our pro-life prayer intentions for the evening. Then before each decade she gave a meditation on each Glorious Mystery. We then sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, especially for the new doctor who will be taking over at WomanCare... this is so very sad... the evil will continue there. We PW's must continue to shed light on the culture of death & with our peaceful prayer let moms & dads know that they most certainly have folks out there who love them, are praying for them & can offer them help if they wish it. Maribeth & I then looked our flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance. It was peaceful this evening with little happy honks every now & then. The wind was pretty strong off & on & it was definitely freezing ! ! ! out there tonight. (I can hear Grams saying "offer it up." Yes, Grams, I am ... for the unborn, their moms & dads.) (Jenny)
Day 7 - February 19, 2013
Facing WomanCare abortion mill I blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground & said the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn then for all on-site PW's & HPW's said the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel. As I began my walk to the traffic light saying the rest of the opening prayers, drizzling freezing rain was starting but very lightly so I did not bother with my umbrella. I prayed the Rosary for the end of abortion & remembered especially all the little ones who had been killed here at WomanCare & prayed for healing of their moms & dads. Then sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for all the doctor's who actually think they are helping women... how did we Americans let this happen? We were all so busy with our own lives that we just did not see the evil that was taking over our country & our world. Doctors are supposed to protect life...so very sad that evil is considered good these days. May we PW's help to shed light on the culture of death & convert many hearts through the help of our dearest Lord & His Holy Spirit He sends to give us the strength we need to be out here. The last ten minutes of my prayer hour I had to use my hand warming pads which helped but I'll tell ya, the snow was really!!! heavy so my car & myself were covered in white after only ten minutes. I sang America the Beautiful & said the Pledge of Allegiance facing the American flag then was glad to be in my car warming up. That freezing rain really burns at times but we PW's are happy to offer these little difficulties for the end of abortion. (Jenny)
Day 6 - February 18, 2013
Nick & Paul were ending their 5pm prayer vigil as I arrived. We three stood facing the abortion mill & prayed a bit then I shared holy water with them & sprinkled a bit on the ground I started my walk to the traffic light saying the opening prayers. Maribeth joined me...yeah. We prayed for all the pro-life intentions she offered up & said the Rosary with a brief Joyful Mystery before each Hail Mary. Then sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy especially for all abortionists. We closed our prayer vigil facing our beautiful American flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance. Paul remains in our prayers as he goes through this difficult time of losing his wife. May Our Lord wrap His healing, loving arms around Paul & send the strength he needs as well as his entire family. (Jenny)

Day 5 - February 17, 2013
3:00 p.m. Family Prayer Vigil
About 12 of us gathered for the first Sunday vigil of this campaign. Oh my...19 degrees and windy....but we endured! Our focus was on Noah and his obedience to God's calling. The reflection noted that many people thought Noah was nuts in what he was doing...building a giant ark when there was no sign of a flood. Many thought he was wasting his time. Yes, the same goes for us pro-lifer's today. Many think we are nuts and wasting time in taking the stand outside of clinics, peacefully praying and being a witness to those who stop by. We are told that "Roe vs. Wade will never go" -- and to that, we look at the sunny skies in Noah's time and know that with God, it can change in a second! We were encouraged to keep on keeping on -- whether it's cold, warm, sunny, rainy....no matter what the weather, we will stand together for LIFE! Thank You Jesus for Your strength. (Maribeth)

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil
At 5:28 pm, I was ready to sit down & watch some golf that Tom had recorded then... oh my gosh!!! I thought to myself... I have to go pray, so I bundled up & left for the 6pm prayer vigil. After blessing myself with holy water & sprinkling a bit on the ground I started my opening prayers & my walk to the traffic light & back to the abortion mill... a negative happened right away... a young couple drove by & he gave me the "#1" sign. I just held up my Pray to End Abortion sign, waved & smiled & said a prayer for the conversion to light of he & the young women riding with him. He kept pointing that finger at me... I guess he wanted to make sure that I saw the finger he was pointing at me. I kept smiling & praying & pointing my pro-life sign toward them. I thought to myself, Jesus loves everyone, even those misguided ones who think abortion is ok. They drove off, so sad to see this but right away, the My Pizza Place delivery guy stopped to see how we PW's are doing. I shared the negative with him but he said we get sooo many more positives & I said you are absolutely right. We will never!!! go away until this killing ends. Then I heard happy honks throughout the rest of the prayer hour. I prayed as usual for all involed in abortion in any way as I meditated on the Sorrowful Mysteries then sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for all doctors who perform this evil on women, that they will realize what harm they are doing. I then faced the flag, said the Pledge of Allegiance & it was time to go. Jesus, thank you for the negatives we PW's experience because we can join that feeling with Your Passion that You offered up to God our Father for us sinners. Jesus, I trust in You!!! (Jenny)
Day 4 - February 16, 2013
After getting my new lotto tickets from Wild Bill's Tobacco shop (& checking my old one...Unc Joe, I'm playing your #'s the way you showed me but not winning the $600 or $800 like you used to) ha, ha, ha... but like Tom says, if you don't play the lotto #'s then you don't have a chance of winning, so I do so every week & it is good to buy from the man who owns Wild Bill's Tobacco Shop cuz he keeps an eye on us PW's like the other shop owners do. Plus, a police car went by me & also the My Pizza Place delivery guy drove by & waved, so I felt totally safe out there alone. Plus my Guardian Angel is always with me & all other who I ask to pray with me "in spirit" from heaven, so really, don't worry!!! If I feel at all uncomfortable, I will sit in my car but I walk back & forth like Tom says & keep an eye on all that is going on around me. I blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground & faced WomanCare abortion mill & said the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn & the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel for all PW's & HPW's. A couple of young men drove by & gave me the thumbs up & a happy honk before they went to the tobacco shop.
As it was gently sleeting out, I bundled up with a third big scarf & held my "Pray to End Abortion" sign, with my Rosary hanging from my wrist with my flashlight shining on it & my "It's a Girl", It's A Boy" & to other pro-life balloons tied to my sign & started my walking to & from the traffic light then back to the abortion mill. I was alone, so sang the Our Fathers & Hail Marys & meditated on the Joyful Mysteries during my Rosary for all involved in abortion in any way & the three intercessions I always sing after each decade. Then specifically for the conversion of abortion doctors, I sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. My fingers were burning from the cold, so I got Mike's gloves from my car & put them over my leather gloves & that really!!! helped. I giggled to myself cuz my hands must look like man hands with Mike's gloves on... ha, ha, ha... I then sang Immaculate Mary & faced our flag & sang America the Beautiful & said the Pledge of Allegiance.
THEN!!!! a really excellent blessing!!! a woman, Marlene, who lives behind the abortion mill stopped by to give me thumbs up & said God bless you then said we are pro-life but not in name only. We have three of our own, have raised 27 foster kids & adopted the two 20-yr olds in the back seat & she talked about their pro-life family. The girl said, "mom... you are embarrising us" & put her hands over her face...too cute!!! The boy just rolled his eyes at his adopted mom...too cute!!! I just giggled & said you guys are so loved & blest!!! don't be embarressed of you mom!!! I gave Marlene an info pack & also a big hug. What a great way to end my prayer hour. Thank you, Jesus!!! See everybody, we DO!!! make a difference simply by being out there in peaceful prayer. (Jenny)

Day 3 - February 15, 2013
As I arrived at WomanCare abortion mill, I bundled up & blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground asking God to protect all PW's from Satan's evil plans he mighty have for us. Standing facing the abortion mill, I noticed another PW walking over to join me...yeah!!! Tricia B from Evangelical Christian Church had just driven from Metro Airport to pray for the unborn...what a blessing that was for me to be with such a devoted PW for the Helpless Unborn!!! Thank you, Jesus!!! :o)
We walked to & from the traffic light holding our pro-life signs & taking turns leading various prayers. I started the prayer vigil with the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn & for all on-site & HPW's said the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel. Tricia then prayed for various pro-life intentions as we walked to & from the abortion mill once more. Next I asked all our young women & men, saints & blessed ones in heaven who gave their life for purity to join in the pro-life prayer written by Blessed John Paul II ~ such as St. Maria Goretti, St. Gabriel of the Sorrows, St. Tarcisius, St. Dominic Savio, St. Margaret of Portona, St. Aloysius Gonzaga-Patron Saint of Catholic Youth, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, Blessed Francisco & Jacinta & St. Kateri Tekawitha. To learn more about these holy youth, check them out online...excellent reading about how we too can become saints if we just try our best to follow God's laws & speak the truth always. Next was the prayer that our precious PW Susan had given Maribeth & I a while back. Tricia again offered up various intentions to Father God in beautiful prayers a we walked to & from the abortion mill once again. Next I prayed aloud the Prayer for our Pastors & Prayer for our Country.
We then stopped & faced our huge, beautiful American flag & sang together America the Beautiful, both verses. The second verse PW Joe had given me a while back & it brings tears to your eyes. We then sang one decade of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy & Tricia offered up a different pro-life intention before we sang each one ~ for the doctors to hear the babies in their dreams & be converted to life & leave the culture of death ~ for the fathers to speak up for their unborn children who are in danger of being aborted ~ for those who put the women under before the procedure ~ for the moms to see a picture of a baby & know that they just cannot kill their own baby in their wombs ~ for the nurses who attend the doctors ~ for our servicemen & women who fight for the freedom for folks like Tricia & I to even be out here in peaceful prayer for our precious unborn ~ for our pastors to continue to speak up for life ~ for our PW's to be strong in speaking up for the unborn ~ for our elected leaders to be converted to God's truth & light ~ for the sisters, especially the Carmelite Nuns, who pray 24/7 for us when 40 Days for Life Prayer Campaigns are going on as well as the rest of the year.
We also asked all the babies aborted at WomanCare abortion mill to be with all PW's who give of their time to pray in front of abortion mills all over our world. I know the babies who are aborted are taken immediately up to Heaven & they are waiting greet us PW's when we are called home. My vision is when we are called home that these little ones will be running to us & jumping on our feet & hanging onto our arms... like we did when Daddy would get home from work when we were little ones. It's a great vision I keep in my heart when I pray out there & just makes me smile every time I think of it. (Jenny)

Day 2 - February 14, 2013
Regina & I shared holy water & I sprinkled a bit on the ground. As it was really windy & rainy, we said the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn & for all PW's the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel. We then held our pro-life signs & started walking along the sidewalk toward the traffic light. Maribeth joined us, then Connie, Matthew, Glen & Sadeer. We took turns leading the Rosary meditating on the Luminous Mysteries. Then sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Our prayer intentions were given by Regina at the start of the prayer hour. We then sang Immaculate Mary & got back in front of the clinic, faced the big, beautiful American flag & closed with the Pledge of Allegiance. The wind slowed down toward the end of our prayer hour, so that was a nice blessing. Thx to all who get out there in peaceful prayer for our unborn brothers & sisters. (Jenny)
Day 1 - February 13, 2013
Opening 7:00 a.m. Prayer Vigil
Our opening Vigil had 12 prayer warriors: Jenny, Sue, Marsia, Richard, Matt, Maribeth, Regina, Cathy, Paul, Andrea, Glenn, and a KofC member from St. Malachy. God graced us with a beautiful morning to gather for prayer. We read and sang from our Family Prayer Booklet--catching the attention of many people passing by. Many thumbs up were received! We read the daily devotional from the 40 Days for Life National team. We then listened to a reading called "Invisible Answers" from the new book: 40 Days for Life--Discover What God Has Done...Imagine What He Can Do. The words were very inspirational and encouraging; giving us the hope we need when it doesn't seem like our presence is making a difference (oh, what wrong thinking that is!). It was truly a blessing to begin the first day of our campaign with fellow prayer warriors and God's amazing grace! (Maribeth)
Evening - 6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil
I blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a little on the ground then said all the opening prayers in front of my Lary of Guadalupe candle which I had four balloons attached, "Life is Precious", "It's a Boy", "I'ts a Girl" & another pro-life one. As I was the lone prayer warrior I sang the Our Fathers & Hail Mary's during the Rosary & read a brief Glorious Mystery before each Hail Mary, also sang three different short prayers after each decade. I then sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy as I walked back & forth on the grass in front of WomanCare. Very peaceful prayer hour with a few happy honks then as I was getting ready to go, an elderly gentleman stopped his car & said with a very heavy Italian accent "I pray with you. God bless you." What a nice blessing to end my prayer hour. (Jenny)

February 7, 2013 - Thursday Vigil
It was 33 this evening but a bit windy so it felt a little colder than that. I was dressed in layers so the only thing I was worried about was that my fingers get cold so after blessing myself with holy water & sprinkling a bit on the ground & saying all the opening prayers, I put on a second pair of gloves which really worked well!!! However, I could not use my Rosary, so I just slipped it over my right wrist & read my "Saying the Rosary without Distration" booklet cuz there is a brief meditation before each Hail Mary so it works out really well when its cold out & you have gloves on & cannot hold your Rosary. It was just a little difficult to turn the page for each decade & clamp my little clamps on the top of each page with the big gloves on but I managed ok. Thank you Guardian Angel!!!
The meditations were from the Luminous Mysteries this evening. I walked slowly along the middle of the grass area underneath the light & it was just a very peaceful hour of prayer for me. As I was the lone prayer warrior, I sang everything pretty much, the Our Fathers, Hail Marys & 4 brief prayers after each decade. I heard a few happy honks & no negatives. Being dark the whole hour I could not really see into the cars that were stopped for the light every few minutes, but no "drive by screamers" were heard & I'm sure they could see my "Pray to End Abortion" sign so everyone was just peaceful this evening like I was I guess.
After I finished the Rosary I looked at the time & it was 6:59. Wow, that hour sure went by quickly but I must say I was starting to get a little chilled so I was definitely ready to go home. I picked up my .... ok... wait for it.... hold on... a small Chicago style pizza from My Pizza Place!!! I could not help myself!!!! I've been wanting to try one for a kabillion years & the diet side of my brain lost out to the "me want pizza" side of my brain & I must tell ya it was just yummy. Even the Polish Prince had a taste. The guy at the pizza place was shocked when I placed my order to pick up at 7pm cuz he knows always!!! have ordered a small greek salad but I told him I just did not have the will power this evening & he said that I deserved a nice warm pizza after being out there in prayer for that hour, so I guess I'll forgive myself for cheating on my "healthy" eating regimen. ha, ha, ha :o) (Jenny)

January 31, 2013 - Thursday Vigil
After blessing myself with holy water & sprinkling a bit on the ground I began the opening prayers ~ Prayer for the Helpless Unborn, Prayer to St. Michael (I always say this for all on-site & HPW's). Maribeth arrived...yeah!!! Although it was a "warm" 23 out, with the wind it sure did seem a lot colder. We both were layered up real good & started walking to the traffic light & back to the abortion mill as we said the Holy Rosary for all the intentions Maribeth had mentioned for our hour of peaceful prayer. My Lady of Guadalupe candle kept going out (I had heard on the weather that wind gusts might go to 40mph, so I finally just gave up & put the candle in my "Jesus Love Me" bag.) Maribeth said a brief meditation before each Luminous Mystery. We then started the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in song, especially for all abortion doctors to be converted to God's truth & light. With about 20 minutes left in our prayer hour, we both had frozen fingers so we sat in Maribeth's car until 7pm & finished the Chaplet. I was still getting over a cold so that was perfectly ok with me. I could feel my throat burning a bit.
We are praying that lots of Prayer Warriors will sign up for peaceful prayer at WomanCare abortion mill, 15 Mile & Dodge Park, during 40 Days for Life, Ash Wed (Feb 13) through Palm Sun (Mar 24).
