THURSDAY - May 23, 2014 PRAYER VIGIL

I faced WomanCare abortion mill, blest myself with holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground & began the opening prayers, offering the prayer hour for all involved in abortion in any way. I faced traffic holding my "Pray To End Abortion" sign in front of me & saw thumbs up right away from some of the folks driving by.

I started the Holy Rosary reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery before each Hail Mary & Maribeth arrived...yay!!! She took over leading the Rosary.  Traffic was stopped as construction is going on just past the traffic light & a man on a motorcycle said "I'd rather pay for an abortion then pay to raise an unwanted kid" then drove off. Maribeth & I just could not understand how anyone could think like that. A baby is a gift from God not something to be dismembered & tossed in the garbage!!!  We Americans just have to start respecting life from conception to natural death!!! to give good example to the rest of our world. The evil one sure has turned the hearts & minds of some folks totally messed up. We always pray for those negative ones. Jesus can shine His light & truth upon them but we do have a free will & some folks want to believe in the lies of satan, so all we can do is pray for them to be converted before their life is over. I thank God every day for all the pro-life people in my life, especially our young pro-lifers!!! They are on fire for LIFE & love Jesus so much & are trying to live like good young men & women & in this impure world it sure is difficult but not impossible. We have so many young saints to read about so we can try to be like them.

We then sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy especially for the conversion of abortionists & the closing of these killing mills, then faced our beautiful flag & closed our prayer time together with the Pledge of Allegiance.

It was such a beautiful, sunny evening, a light jacket was all that was needed & we could not help giggling  because as we walked back & forth along the grass prayer area, the PW birds followed along singing with us from way up in the trees~so precious :o)   (Jenny)

THURSDAY - MAY 15, 2014 PRAYER VIGIL

I faced WomanCare abortion mill, blest myself with holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground & began the opening prayers. A woman stopped by to ask if we ever hear of women keeping their baby. This is always so nice, because it gives me a chance to tell folks of my personal experience with a young woman who decided to keep her baby & a postabortive woman who shared her story with me.

I was blessed by Knights of Columbus members joining the prayer vigil -- Dave, Dennis, Jim, Wally, James & Mark. For all involved in abortion in any way, we offered the Holy Rosary. Dave & Dennis read a Luminous Mystery meditation & closing prayer before each decade.  We all  took turns leading the prayers of the Rosary. 

 

Maribeth joined us a little after 6:00. She & I held our pro-life signs toward traffic. We had many positives, thumbs up, smiles, "Keep up the good work", happy honks."  Folks walking by, riding their bikes by said hello to us. For the couple of negatives, our prayers for their hardened hearts were offered up. 

 

We then sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy especially for the conversion of abortionists & the closing of these killing mills. Maribeth then said a beautiful closing prayer. I gave everyone The Prayer for the Helpless Unborn which we said together. We all faced our beautiful flag & closed our prayer time together with the Pledge of Allegiance.

It is so great that these men gave their time this evening to be there in peaceful prayer for the precious unborn. We must all try our best to get out there "to be the voice for these little ones." Thank you, gentlemen very much & I know that I will see you out there again when your schedules allow. (Jenny)

The National Team has reported that, as of today, 547 lives have been saved from Abortion!!

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

I arrived a bit early for the 6pm Prayer Vigil, faced WomanCare abortion mill, blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground & began the opening prayers. Other PW's arrived & we took turns reading the various prayers. Fr. Joe arrived & as our group continued to grow ~ to 40 as it turned out!!! he gave his Palm Sunday homily talking about various #'s in the bible ~ #40 & gave the various examples ~ #12 & gave the various examples. Then told us that in the time of Jesus, a law on the books was that if one of your slaves was killed by an oxen, the owner of the oxen would have to pay you 30 pieces of silver for your dead slave. So the leaders at that time considered the worth of Our Lord to be no more than that of a dead slave. This touched my heart as I'm sure it did to many others who were listening to Fr. Joe. He asked us all what church we were from ~ St. Malachy, St. Renee, St. Martin de Porres, Sts Cyril & Methodius, St. Faustina, St. Thecla, St. Ann ~ hope I remembered them all. 

He than led the Holy Rosary, meditating on the Sorrowful Mysteries.  He told us that "the world thinking" at that time of Jesus did not put much worth on LIFE ~ just like the "the world thinking" is today & that it is it not easy to go against "world thinking" & pray outside in front of an abortion mill. He gave all of us the most beautiful Prayer Warrior blessing before he left & asked us to never stop praying for the unborn.  For myself, I will continue my 6pm Prayer Vigil every Thursday night until our next 40 Days for Life Campaign begins & I ask all of you to join me please when your schedules allow.

For the conversion of abortionists & closing of abortion mills, we 40 sang the Chaplet of DIvine Mercy. Mike then said the closing prayer. Many positives this evening & of course our PW birds were all around us loudly singing along. One negative ~  car stopped to make a left-hand turn & as they drove off a not-so-nice gesture was given to our prayer group. I said "God bless you" & to myself said, Lord, please heal their hardened hearts.

One of our prayer warriors fainted -- EMS arrived.  The owner of Lovely Nails came out to ask me how that lady was doing & I told him she was going to the  hospital via EMS.  I thanked him for always keeping watch on us PW's.   Update on Arlene, our Prayer Warrior who passed out at the end of the Prayer Vigil this evening. She was taken via EMS to Henry Ford Emergency Room on 19 & Garfield. When her friend Molly & I arrived, Arlene's daughter Donna was there filling out the admission papers for her mom.  Donna took my number & about 9pm this evening she called to let us know that so far all the tests on her mom were ok & they are going to keep Arlene overnight for observation. Thx for all the prayers. She is doing well.

I plan to get my nails done there soon to show my appreciation of his concern for us pro-lifers. Also, I will continue to get my carry outs from the Chinese place & the pizza place. So many of the various store owners DO NOT want this baby killing place here & are very appreciative to us for being out there in peaceful prayer for the closing of this evil place.

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 39 - April 12

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

As I arrived, I could see Eleanor & Ed praying from their car...yay!!! We waved hello. I saw five Divine Mercy Hearts drawn in chalk on the sidewalk. This must have been from the High Noon Youth Prayer vigil earlier today. I blest myself with holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground & said all my opening prayers. Then for all involved in abortion in any way, I said/sang the Holy Rosary reading a brief Joyful Mystery before each Hail Mary. It's now warm enough for a jacket & scarf so that's nice. A young couple were stopped at the light & the young man said "God bless you mam" & both gave me a big smile. Lots of waves & thumbs up this evening~no negatives.

     For the conversion of abortionists & the closing of abortion mills, I sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.  The PW birds were singing along with me from the wires on both sides of the streets, high up in the trees & on top of the buildings~too cute.  I closed my prayer hour looking at our beautiful American flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance. After my prayer vigil, I called Maribeth to sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her. SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 38 - April 11

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

As I arrived, Denise was already praying her 5:30 Prayer Vigil..yay!!! We faced WomanCare abortion mill, blest ourselves with holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground & said The Prayer for the Helpless Unborn & for all PW's, the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel. Maribeth joined us...yay!!! Denise led the Holy Rosary reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery before each Hail Mary then left to attend The Stations of The Cross.

A man, Thamar, drove up to us & stopped to thank us for praying for the end of abortion & gave Maribeth a donation which she will give to Compassion Pregnancy Center. He looked at the sign & said "WomanCare?!?!?" & just shook his head looking very sad. He told us he had found out about health problems a couple weeks ago. It was clear this was giving him a very sad heart so we said a prayer for him asking Our Lord to wrap His healing arms around Thamar as he goes through this difficult time. So nice of him to stop by with all this on his mind. 

 

We said our good byes to Denise. Then for the conversion of abortionists & the closing of abortion mills, Maribeth led the Chaplet of Divine Mercy also reading St. Faustina's meditations on The Passion.  We said the Prayer for the Conversion of Abortionists & their Staffs & closed with the Pledge of Allegiance. Lots of thumbs up this evening from those driving by ~ a young lady passenger even hung out of her window a bit to make sure we saw her thumbs & her big smile. Lord, help us to continue Your work here peacefully to get more & more folks aware of how babies are being dismembered in these evil places so that they will be closed down & moms/dads will give LIFE to their little ones & will seek help from us pro-lifers if need be.  (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 37 - April 10

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

George & his son precious Daniel were there..yay!!! as I arrived 1/2 way through their 5:30 prayer vigil  at the  abortion mill.  We shared holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground & then George shared this with me: A drive-by screamer yelled "go to h*ll" at he & Daniel.  Our precious Daniel simply pointed up to Heaven!!! He knows where God's children will go when they are called Home!!! How sweet is that???  :o)

It was raining off & on with gusts of winds, so I left my prayer booklets in my bag. We said The Prayer for the Helpless Unborn & for all PW's, The Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel. Regina joined us...yay!!! George had already said the Holy Rosary so we sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the conversion of abortionists & closing of abortion mills. Then we hugged, high 5'd & said our good byes to them.  Regina & I offered up another Holy Rosary specifically for babies scheduled to be killed Friday morning in this misguided world of ours. We took turns leading & offered up our own Luminous Mystery meditation before leading our decade.  We were able to offer up another decade before it was time to go home. We closed our prayer time together with the Pledge of Allegiance. Lots of thumbs up this evening from those driving by. "Good work" from a lady pulling in. Our PW birds were quite loud this evening at times. A young man yelled "go home."  I held up my Pray To End Abortion sign high toward his car & prayed for Our Blessed Mother to hold this angry young man in her motherly arms & ask her Son to heal him & bring him into His Light & Truth about the evil of killing unborn babies.  (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 36 - April 9

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil


(As I was driving by the mill at 2:45 this afternoon saying a quick prayer in my car, there were 6 PW's there...yay!!!)   

 This evening as I arrived, George & Daniel were there...yay!!! After blessing ourselves with holy water, we took turns reading the opening prayers. Maribeth joined us...yay!!! We walked a bit this evening then stood on the grass area near the abortion mill.  Precious Daniel opened his jacket so I could see his shirt. His dad said it was his buddy Gil's shirt & Daniel smiled & said "Gil."  He sure is doing well. Makes the sign of the cross whenever we say, in the name of the Father... & gives hugs at the end of our prayer times together & high 5's. His mom & dad should be very proud of how great  he is doing. I'm sure they are.  A young man riding his bike by our prayer group said "AMEN" Lots of thumbs up, waves & smiles. As traffic stopped, a man looked at Maribeth's sign with the 3 babies on it "The Cost Of Abortion" & pointed to it & said "THAT'S RIGHT!!! THAT'S RIGHT!!!" It was as though it just hit him~~~ that babies are being killed in there. One negative  tonight~some young women yelled "go home" & gave thumbs down. What is wrong with them?!?!? How can they be ok with killing babies in the womb?!?!? I always say a prayer to Our Blessed Mother asking her to wrap her motherly arms around these hard-hearted people & ask her to pray with me for them to brought into her Son's light & truth. That's all we can do for some folks, just pray for them. Man, our PW birds were really singing along with us tonight, especially when we sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the conversion of abortionists & closing of abortion mills. We then closed our prayer time together with Pledge of Allegiance. Then good bye hugs & high 5's to Daniel, which made him smile...too precious!!!  (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 35 - April 8

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

George was already there when I arrived at WomanCare abortion mill. Eleanor & Ed prayed from their car this evening. George & I blest ourselves with holy water & took turns reading all the opening prayers. He then offered up our intentions for the Holy Rosary & we took turns leading, reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery before each Hail Mary.  Mike joined us & also helped leading the Rosary.  We then said the Chaplet of Divine Mercy with Saint Faustina's meditations on the Passion~such a beautiful way to say the Chaplet.  Mike said, "our PW birds are with us this evening." Some nights they are really!!! loud~too cute. We offered the Chaplet as always for the conversion of abortionists & the closing of abortion mills. It just hurts my heart thinking of tiny, little babies being dismembered in that evil place. Man, if he was doing that to puppies or kittens, there would be so many people out there in protest it would make the newspapers, but for unborn babies, hardly anybody is upset. What is wrong with our people!?!?! I just am thankful that more & more are finally understanding that this just has to stop. There is no reason in the world why a baby should be killed. It just sickens me. Thx to all my family & friends for your support & especially all your prayers.  (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 34 - April 7

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

Rainy weather but not terribly cold this evening. As I arrived I just missed the ladies 5pm prayer group WINGS. George was still praying there & decided to stay another hour. He said it was such a great 5pm prayer hour ~ even two of the young children led a decade of the Holy Rosary.  The 5pm prayer group also said the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. One of the ladies son's gave George a Baby Jesus Rosary to give to his son, Daniel. That was so sweet!!!      George & I blest ourselves with holy water & since it was raining quite heavily, I left my prayer booklets in my bag to keep dry. We said the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn & for all PW's the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel.  I noticed Eleanor & Ed praying from their car~yay!!! Kathy & Mike joined us...yay!! For all involved in abortion in any way, we took turns leading the Rosary & offered up our own Joyful Mystery meditation before the decade we would be leading. Maribeth joined us...yay!!! Happy honks & thumbs up from those driving by. No PW birds in this pouring rain. Maribeth offered up a beautiful closing prayer & we ended our prayer hour with the Pledge of Allegiance. We all said our good byes & gave hugs & got into our cars to dry off & warm up.  (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 33 - April 6

Prayer Vigils - 4/6

What a day and what a sight to behold  at the clinic today.. The time may be winding down but I can see the prayer warriors powering up. Today I was lucky enough to participate in two parishes Adopt a day. The first St Thecla was lead by Fr. Mark and organized by Kathleen. There were many beautiful children who sang songs (St. Francis Prayer, Be not afraid) and did other beautiful prayers.

The other group from St Lawrence was organized by Sue and Sharon.  I was able to pray a rosary with them and checked out the beautiful signs that they had made. What a nice group they really know how to have real joy on a Sunday afternoon. 

During the changeover there were over 30 people in front of the clinic. I had to leave so I'm sorry if I missed any people. When I came back at 3:00 there were another 9 people storming heaven with their  humble prayers. Diane suggest a litany on humility. What a great prayer . It  was like an antidote for all the selfishness, greed and narcissism that is strangling this world.  (Mike)

Denise was finishing her 5pm prayer hour as I arrived at WomanCare abortion mill. After blessing ourselves with holy water, we said the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn, then good bye hugs.  George joined me...yay!!! We took turns reading the rest of the opening prayers. Then for all involved in abortion in any way, we took turns leading the Holy Rosary, reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery before each Hail Mary. I pointed to the bird on the very top of the telephone pole & told George, "that is one of our PW birds" & sure enough, we could hear the chirps throughout the hour. For the conversion of abortionists & closing of abortion mills, we took turns leading the Chaplet of Divine Mercy reading Saint Faustina's meditations on The Passion before each decade. Together we said the Prayer for the Conversion of Abortionists & their Staffs then said the Pledge of Allegiance. Lots of happy honks, thumbs up & nods of approval from folks driving by. One drive-by screamer but I have no clue what was screamed at us~did not sound positive though.  (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 32 - April 5

7:00 a.m. Prayer Vigil

A couple walking toward me this morning, spotted my rosary.  They stopped to let me know that they were with 40 Days in Virginia.  They prayed with me, Chaplet and beautiful spontaneous prayer from the lady.  They also asked me to pray for their son, Joshua, who is in rehab. recovering from a horrendous automobile crash. I pray that their faith and trust will be blessed. It was a tremendous blessing to me to experience their witness and faith.  (Sue K)

I faced the abortion mill, blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground then said all the opening prayers. For all involved in abortion in any way, I said/sang the Holy Rosary reading a brief Joyful Mystery before each Hail Mary. Lots of PW birds could be heard throughout the hour from high in the trees & on the telephone wires, just too cute. For the conversion of abortionists & closing of abortion mills, I sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Happy honks throughout the hour.  To close my prayer time, I said the Pledge of Allegiance. Happy to say that more folks are showing up to pray for the unborn. (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 31 - April 4

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil - (happy birthday Jenny -- what a blessing to celebrate your LIFE!)

I drove through heavy rain but it stopped as I got to WomanCare abortion mill.  Regina joined me...yay!!! We blest ourselves with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground & said the opening prayers. Huge raindrops started to fall so we huddled underneath my umbrella. A gust of wind almost knocked us back. Then another gust of wind turned my umbrella inside out. I closed it & turned it toward the wind as to not have that happen again..wow!!! get thee behind us satan!!!  we're not going anywhere!!!      Regina offered up our intentions & we took turns leading the Holy Rosary, offering up our own personal Sorrowful Mystery meditation. Just then the rain stopped & as we were getting ready to start singing the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the conversion of abortionists & the closing of abortion mills, Maribeth joined us...yay!!! Even working late, she still made it over to be there in prayer for our precious, helpless unborn brothers & sisters...such an inspiration to us all!!! When she was taking the photos I noted that she was looking up to the wire about us... there was our darling, little PW bird, holding on tight against the wind... just wanting to be with us as we prayed/sang for the end of this horrid evil in our world. Thank you, Jesus, for sending little messages to us that You are pleased with our efforts to keep aborotion in the minds of all, so that some day soon, we will stop the killing our little unborn babies. Lots of happy honks this evening, especially during the heaviest rain/wind. (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 30 - April 3

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil
Richard was already at WomanCare abortion mill...yay!!! when I arrived.  We said our hellos, shared holy water & said the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn & for all PW's all over the world, we said the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel.  Regina joined us...yay!!! Maribeth joined us...yay!!! Richard offered up our intentions & led the Holy Rosary reading a Luminous Mystery before each decade from his pro-life booklet. We also sang a song after each decade.  For the conversion of abortionists & the closing of abortion mills, he led the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.  We closed our prayer time together with the Pledge of Allegiance. The winter chill was back but we were all dressed in layers so got through the hour no problem.

Right at the beginning of our prayer time, we heard the young woman, drive-by screamer "go home." She is so angry. I said a little prayer for her hurting, angry heart. Happy honks throughout the hour & our PW birds sang along with us, quite loudly at time, from high up in the trees.  A young man was stopped by traffic with his darling little daughter in the back seat & he said "God bless you" & thanked us for being there & let us know he prays daily from home. So great to hear that lots of folks are praying for the end of this killing of our innocent unborn babies who need our continued help to keep reminding folks of their horrid last moments on this earth. I just can't believe we are doing this in America. Father in Heaven, forgive us & help us end this madness. Amen!!!(Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 29 - April 2

 6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

As I got closer to WomanCare abortion mill, I saw George & his precious son Daniel & another PW...yay!!! ending their 5pm prayer vigil. Such a beautiful, sunny day. We said our hellos & Regina joined us...yay!!! Holding our pro-life signs, we blest ourselves with holy water & I sprinkled a bit on the ground then we began taking turns reading the opening prayers. Maribeth arrived...yay!!! Ray arrived...yay!!! George & his son Daniel said good bye. Maribeth offered up our intentions & we began taking turns leading the Holy Rosary reading a brief Glorious Mystery before each Hail Mary.  For the conversion of abortionists & the closing of abortion mills, we sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.  Lots of positives & for the 3 negatives we prayed for their misguided souls~2 young men flipped us off & a young women screamed "mind your own business." Jesus told us "we are our brother's keepers," so we must speak up for the voiceless unborn babies. It hurts my heart thinking about these unborn babies who are in what should be the safest place in the world~their mom's womb. Sadly for some precious little ones, they are in a prison in their mom's womb because they will have no place to move when the abortionist starts using those horrid instruments on that poor little child. It just makes my cry on Thursday nights, because I know what these little ones will be feeling on Friday morning. Man, when is this horrid killing going to end?!?!? Lord, hear our prayers & accept our fasting for these babies. Amen!!! We closed our prayer time together looking at our beautiful American flag & saying the Pledge of Allegiance. As we walked to & from the traffic light, we could hear our noisy PW birds chirping high above us in the trees & on the street lights~so cute. They just love to sing along with us. TOMORROW IS DAY 30 ~ TEN MORE DAYS TO JOIN US IN PEACFUL PRAYER FOR THE UNBORNN. HOPE YOU CAN GIVE ONE HOUR OF YOUR TIME FOR THIS JUST CAUSE.  (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 28 - April 1

Sterling Heights, Michigan

 

This is the 12th 40 Days for Life campaign in Sterling Heights … and volunteers are praying that the abortion center there will not be in business much longer.

In the complex where the abortion facility is located, there’s a vacant office right next door. There had been a dentist’s office there, but that office has been vacant for some time now.

It seems that nobody wants to lease that space. If you were a healthcare professional, would you want an abortionist for a neighbor?

 
 


6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

I faced WomanCare abortion mill holding my pro-life sign tightly as the wind gusts were quite strong this evening. I blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground around me & began my opening prayers. A man & woman drove by slowly to read my sign & nodded in approval & a young man & women riding their bikes said God bless you. Wow, positives right away~excellent. I finished the opening prayers & for all involved in abortion in any way said/sang the Holy Rosary reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery before each Hail Mary. After the third decade, because of the wind, I began to walk toward the traffic light to get the wind behind me which really helped. I walked back & forth the rest of my prayer hour so I could get a break from the wind every other time. Two young boys riding by on their bikes said hi & smiled. For the conversion of abortionists & the closing of abortion mills, I sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. I then faced the abortion mill & said the Prayer for the Conversion of Abortionists & their Staffs. As always, I closed my hour looking at our beautiful American flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance. I could hear the PW birds chirping now & then which always makes me smile. As I was dressed in layers, the wind didn't bother me too much but I know it was not 60. When I got in my car it showed 47, so I'm glad I dressed warm.  (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 27 - March 31

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

When I arrived, six PW's from the lady's group WINGS were there...yay!!! on the sidewalk facing traffic with their pro-life signs as well as George & his son Daniel...yay!!!. Also a PW lady was walking a little ways down from the abortion mill in peaceful prayer...yay!!!  We said our hellos & to close their 5pm  & open my 6pm prayer hour we offered up The Prayer for the Helpless Unborn. George & Daniel said they would stay for the rest of the opening prayers & PW Linda arrived...yay.  She read the rest of the prayers & we said our good byes to George & Daniel.  Other PW's prayed from their car as Linda led the Holy Rosary for all involved in abortion in any way reading a brief Joyful Mystery before each Hail Mary. Sader joined us...yay!!! The three of us took turns leading the Rosary as well as the Chaplet of Divine Mercy as we prayed especially for the conversion of abortionists & the closing of abortion mills. For the last ten minutes we said various pro-life prayers from our 40 Days booklet. A bit chilly but sunny & lots of traffic & lots of positives this evening~no negatives. As always I could hear the PW birds chirping along with our prayers & singing~such a joyful sound. (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 26 - March 30

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

Sunny & not too cold this evening. PW Denise was there as I arrived...yay!!! to join me in the Holy Rosary. We blest ourselves with holy water & I sprinkled a bit on the ground. We faced WomanCare abortion mill & said the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn.  Denise led us in the Rosary reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery before each Hail Mary.  So great that she was able to pray with me.  I then walked the rest of the prayer hour & sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the conversion of abortionists & closing of abortion mills.  Eight PW birds were singing along high up in the trees as I passed by them. I finished the rest of the opening prayers & read several pro-life prayers from our 40 Days for Life booklet & closed with the Pledge of Allegiance. So many moms, dads, elders, young ones out walking this evening who shared smiles, waves, thumbs up, some made the sign of the cross, some said "God bless you." No negatives. Really dragging tonight... ahhh the "golden years" ~ NOT!!! Even though I feel "18 in my mind" my body tells me no, no, no!!! :o)  Good night to all, God bless you!  (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 25 - March 29

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

It was 38 & windy this evening. I put on my 2nd pr of gloves right away, faced WomanCare abortion mill, blest myself with  holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground & said a couple of opening prayers then began walking to keep warm as I finished the rest of the prayers. I held my pro-life sign in one hand & kept the other in my pocket until the other hand was feeling the chill, then I switched hands. The wind caught my sign once, so I kept a tight hold on it the rest of my prayer hour. For all involved in abortion in any way I said/sang the Holy Rosary meditating on the Joyful Mysteries. Then for the conversion of abortionists & the closing of WomanCare abortion mills, I sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Four PW birds sang along most of the night from high up in the middle tree~so sweet. I closed my prayer hour with the Pledge of Allegiance. It was good to warm up in the car on the way home. Happy honks & thumbs up from those driving by this evening, no negatives. Good night to all.  (Jenny)

We had a successful day going to pray at the 2 abortion mills in Sterling Heights, 1^st  we went to the WOMAN CARE and then to NORTHLAND FAMILY PLANNING CENTER in the Serendipity building.  The 40 Days for Life teams are so motivated and made sure many people were out there to pray. Mike & Kathy L’Esperance are doing a great job of keeping everyone motivated at WOMANCARE.  The police were called by unhappy against-life campers--but all was well!  Thank you Jesus!    (Denise G)

How blessed we all were today. There were approximately 80 people who showed up at the clinic to honor the Black Madonna Icon. It was a beautiful sight to see so many witness for life. Fr. West travels from "Ocean to Ocean" with this Icon. He is a priest from Human Life International. We also were fortunate to have Fr. Gembala from St. Malachy and Deacon Gerald Smigel and his wife Virginia present. To see so many young people present made a statement that they are on fire for LIFE. We prayed the Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, sang and Fr. West gave us a history of the Icon. The Sterling Heights police stopped in. They said they got one complaint from someone who said we were blocking the driveway(not true), but the police were awesome!!!!! They were very supportive and stated that  they have never had any problems from any one praying. A special thank you  to Denise Gabryel  who arranged this visit and for Karen who provided the outline for today's visit. I also would like to thank all of you whose presence made a difference for someone we may never know about. Several of us went to the clinic on 17 & Ryan. Fr. West was interrupted when doing the Rosary, again by someone complaining we were blocking the driveway(not  true again). Deacon Gerald led us on while Fr. West talked to the police. So many young people witnessing for life and a beautiful young mother expecting her seventh child with her children present. May all our prayers be answered. May the Black Madonna PRAY FOR US AND FOR THE END OF ABORTION!! (Mike)

Richard, Jill & Tom were ending their prayer vigil as I arrived. We shared holy water then Richard had to leave. Jill & Tom stayed for a few of my opening prayers then left to warm up from the chill. So great to see PW's there when I drive up for my 6pm prayer hour. I continued the rest of my opening prayers as I walked to & from the abortion mill. What a difference being alone from being with the 80+ PW's at 3pm today but no problem. For all involved in abortion in any way I said/sang the Holy Rosary reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery before each Hail Mary. Lots of chirping PW birds joined me~so cute!!! I faced Womancare abortion mill, blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground & a man drove by & said "keep up the good work" thumbs up. I said thank you, God bless you & he said the same. I began the opening prayers. Kathy joined me...yay!!! We continued & Maribeth joined us...yay!!! She offered up our intentions for the Holy Rosary & we began walking to & from the abortion mill taking turns leading, reading a brief Luminous Mystery before each Hail Mary.  Mike joined us...yay!!! We finished the Rosary & for the conversion of abortionists & the closing of WomanCare abortion mills we sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.  Waves & happy honks from folks driving by & one negative. We always pray for their hardened hearts to be healed by Our Lord. It rained a little bit toward the end of our prayer time together. George & his precious son Daniel were finishing up their prayer time as I arrived...yay!!! Ray & Maribeth joined us...yay!!! as we shared holy water & began the opening prayers. The chill was most definitely getting to George & it was time for he & Daniel to leave to warm up a bit.  Maribeth offered up our prayer intentions then we three began walking to & from WomanCare abortion mill taking turns leading the Holy Rosary reading a brief Glorious Mystery before each Hail Mary.  Mike joined us...yay!!! & led the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the conversion of abortionists & the closing of WomanCare abortion mills. Maribeth then read the Prayer for the Conversion of Abortionists & their Staffs & to close our prayer time together, we faced our beautiful American flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance. PRAYER TO PRESERVE RELIGIOUS LIBERTY IN AMERICA

(as Hobby Lobby faces the Supreme Court on 3/25/14)

Lord God, Our Father, you are the Righteous Judge over all the earth. We pray that you will have mercy on the United States as the Supreme Court hears a case that will shape the balance between government power and freedom of religion.

Give words to the attorneys for Hobby Lobby as they argue that our free exercise of religion includes how Christians live and work, not just what we do when we gather for worship, so that whatever we do in word or deed, we may do it in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

God, enlighten the Justices of the Supreme Court to acknowledge that you alone are Lord of our consciences. Give the Court humility to recognize that you are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and that you have instituted human government so that your people may serve the Lord without fear, in holiness and righteousness before you, all the days of our life.

And Lord, give us grace and boldness to use the religious liberty that we still have to make your truth and mercy known. Amen.

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

Louise joined my last night...yeah!!! We offered up various pro-life intentions throughout our prayer time together. We said two opening prayers, "Prayer for the Helpless Unborn" & for all PW's in the world "Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel" then began walking to & from the traffic light as the chill was getting to us right away. I had driven through a blizzard-like snow fall for a few minutes with a cloudy sky, then when I arrived at the abortion mill, the sun started to shine~but really cold. We were joined by Mike who led the first decade of the Holy Rosary before going over to the pro-life service at St. Faustina Church. He was not dressed for this cold weather, so it was a great sacrifice that he offered up for the end of this evil in our land~killing unborn babies. After he finished leading the first decade, with a brief Sorrowful Mystery meditation, he left for church & Louise finished leading.  The freezing breeze would not stop & our faces were starting to burn a smidge, so we sat in my car the 2nd half of our prayer hour. We sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy with Louise reading Saint Faustina's meditation on The Passion & we closed reading together the Prayer for the Conversion of Abortionists & their Staffs. SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 20 - March 24

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

As I arrived, George & his precious son Daniel were there & had been for over an hour. All bundled up they stayed while I said all the opening prayers. Then the chill was getting to them & they left for home. When they had arrived, he said there were PW's from St. Joseph praying the Rosary.  Fran, Rich & Eleanor prayed in their car & were still there praying when I left at 7pm.   Very cold tonight but the sun was out, so that helped. It even snowed for a short time. This weather is crazy. With 2 pair of gloves on & layered well, I began walking to keep warm as I said/sang the Holy Rosary reading a brief Joyful Mystery before each Hail Mary. Then sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Lots of waves this evening from pro-lifers driving by & happy honks now then. Those darling PW birds continue to sing along with me~too cute :o) As always, I closed my vigil with the Pledge of Allegiance. Stay strong my fellow PW's, 20 more days to go. I'm sure God  is pleased by our efforts for His unborn children. It sure was good to warm up in my car on the way home. SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 19 - March 23

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

Oh so cold tonight~didn't think it would be that cold as it was 28 but the continue breeze made it much colder I'm sure. I faced WomanCare abortion mill, blest myself with holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground & immediately had to put on my 2nd pr of gloves & start walking to keep warm & get the breeze to my back part of the time. I said all the opening prayers then said/sang the Holy Rosary reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery (for Sundays during Lent) before each Hail Mary, changing  hands into my pocket as it got too cold as I walked to & from the light. Heard happy honks & PW birds chirping & the freezing wind on my face was offered up for the end of abortion as long as I could take it~50 minutes. For all involved with abortion, the conversion of abortionists & the closing of this abortion mill were my intentions. I sang a couple decades of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy then had to go to my car. I placed my Pray To End Abortion sign in my front window & folks slowed by to read it & nodded in approval. (Jenny)

Lone PW this evening, I faced WomanCare abortion mill, blest myself with holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground & said all the opening prayers.A pizza delivery guy waved & smiled as he drove by as did other folks. It was chilly & windy so I put my 2nd pr of gloves on & started walking to & from the light. A young man drove up so he could see my sign better~Pray To End Abortion. Hope he will do that. For all involved in abortion in any way I said/sang the Holy Rosary reading a brief Joyful Mystery before each Hail Mary. For the conversion of abortionists & the closing of this abortion mill, I sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. I closed my prayer time reading the Prayer for the Conversion of Abortionists & their Staffs then said the Pledge of Allegiance. The PW birds were quite noisy this evening~so cute!!!  (Jenny)

Facing WomanCare abortion mill, I blest myself with holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground & began the opening prayers~still time for layers, cold, & a bit windy. Connie arrived...yeah!!! Regina arrived...yeah!!! We finished the opening prayers & for all involved in abortion in any way began taking turns leading the Holy Rosary, reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery before each Hail Mary. For the conversion of abortionists & the closing of this abortion mill, we began the Chaplet of Divine Mercy with Saint Faustina's meditations on the Passion. Susan arrived...yeah!!! such a blessing when she is well enough to join us on-site!!! We took turns leading this beautiful way to pray the Chaplet as we heard our PW birds chirping all around us as well as happy honks, smiles, waves & for the few folks with blank looks on their faces we prayed for their souls to be enlightened & on fire to protect the precious, helpless unborn as we all are.  We gathered in a small group & said the Prayer for the Conversion of Abortionists & their Staffs & to close our beautiful prayer hour together, we said the Pledge of Allegiance. Facing WomanCare abortion mill, I blest myself with holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground around me & said all my opening prayers~so glad I was dressed in layers, as it was 38 & windy!!! I started to walk to keep warm & Maribeth arrived...yeah!!!. She offered up our intentions for the Holy Rosary which we said together, with a brief Luminous Mystery before each Hail Mary.  Our darling PW's Eleanor & Ed prayed from their car...excellent!!! My sign almost took off a few times with this evening's gusts of wind~glad I had the string wrapped around my arm.

For the conversion of abortionists, the closing of WomanCare abortion mill, & for our fellow PW's who are going through difficult time1s, we sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.  We received the usual blank, apathetic looks from some but smiles, waves & thumbs up from many others & from his car as he was stopped for the red light, a young man said "we are praying for you,"~so nice of him!!! It is great to know that 99% of folks passing by are really glad we are out there in peaceful prayer to end the killing of innocent little babies in the womb. It was a little after 7:00 as we faced that big, beautiful American flag on the other side of the street & with hands over our hearts we said the Pledge of Allegiance. We see so many folks with a Rosary hanging from their rearview mirrors. My prayer is that each one of them will receive a "Holy Push" from Our Lord & will stop by just to lead one prayer before going on their way~that would be really excellent~it has happened before & I'm sure it will happen again.  (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 15 - March 19

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

I must confess, while taking a break from 5-5:30, resting on the sofa with hubby Tom & darling mini-pin Tasha, I DID NOT at all feel like going to the abortion mill to pray, but my promise to Our Lord got me moving & out the door. It was rainy, damp & windy but in the high 40's~still good to be dressed in layers!!! I faced WomanCare abortion mill, blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground around me & began my opening prayers. Maribeth arrived...yeah!!! & I looked to my left & there was George with his darling son Daniel...yeah!!! Then John joined us...yeah!!! Then to my right I saw that Ray had joined us...yeah!!! Wow!!! We prayed under umbrellas & warm hooded jackets.

I finished reading the rest of the opening prayers & Maribeth raised up our intentions for the Holy Rosary. We took turns leading, giving a brief Glorious Mystery meditation before the decade we would be leading. Then for the conversion of abortionists & the closing of WomanCare abortion mill, we sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

We gathered in a circle & Maribeth said our closing prayer. Then we faced our beautiful American flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance. We heard happy honks, folks waved & gave thumbs up of approval. For the one young man who flipped us off as he drove by, I right away said a prayer for his misguided heart.

I'm so glad Our Lord gave me that little "push" out the door to join this wonderful group of my brother & sister PW's. Jesus is so good to us~when we are feeling a little tired, He sends such joy!!!  We all said our good byes & left for home knowing that we had definitely touched many, many hearts of those who passed by our little prayer group this evening. It was soooo windy!  ...and the rain wasn't so much fun either!  However, six of us gathered at the 6:00 p.m. prayer hour to pray for the unborn and all those involved in abortion in any way.  We also lifted up the moms and dads who are grieving the loss of their child through this option called "choice."  Our hope is that they receive the guidance and direction through professionals and family as they go through this valley of tears.  We are so sorry that the lies are told in these clinics and among friends and family -- our prayer is that all will come to see the TRUTH -- this is a child-not a choice!  We received so many happy honks and smiles and that warmed our hearts.   

Today I had the amazing privilege to talk to the Students for Life Club at Oakland University (Mirna is their President and she ROCKS!).  Wow!  This group is so on fire for LIFE and the Lord.  We are truly blessed to have our next generation so passionate for spreading the truth.  Thank you Mirna for the awesome opportunity to spend the afternoon with your beautiful group.  Keep blowing your trumpets of truth and knock down those walls of lies and hurt!  (Maribeth)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 14 - March 18

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil
Tonight was not as cold as it has been but it is still good to be dressed in layers!!! I faced WomanCare abortion mill, blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground around me & began all my opening prayers. Right then a woman passed by, we exchanged smiles & she said "God bless you" & I answered her back the same. So great to have the approval of 99% of the folks who walk/jog/drive by. We always have the small group of folks who have a totally blank look on their face or are negative toward us but like I always say, we will NEVER be treated as horridly as Our Lord was on His way to the Cross, so we PW's can handle anything from the pro-killing babies in the womb folks. We just offer it up for the conversion of their misguided souls & whenever they give us the chance to talk to them, we can tell them that JESUS LOVES THEM & He will forgive any!!! sin if we humbly tell Him of our sorrow for that particular sin.



For all involved in abortion in any way, I said/sang the Holy Rosary, reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery before each Hail Mary. As I was starting the 3rd decade, Mike arrived...yeah!!! He took over leading the Rosary & for specifically the conversion of abortionists & the closing of this abortion mill, we said The Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Together we read the Prayer for the Conversion of Abortionists & their Staffs, faced our beautiful American flag, said the Pledge of Allegiance & to close our prayer hour together we sang My Country Tis of Thee. We heard happy honks during our prayer hour & of course our PW birds were chirping away as we walked past them :o) We said our good byes & Mike decided he was going to stay a bit longer in prayer there.  (Jenny)

SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 13 - March 17

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil
As I got closer to WomanCare abortion mill I could see a group of ladies praying. They are the PW's from WINGS & lots of happpy honks toward our new prayer group could be heard. To close their prayer vigil & open mine, we all faced the abortion mill & I said the Prayer for the Helpless Unborn. I gave them a bag of yellow LIFE balloons that I had forgotten to give them last Monday. We said our good byes  & I continued the rest of my opening prayers. My intention was as always for all involved with abortion in any way. I was able to walk along the grass area near all the trees as the ground was still not soggy yet & folks could see my "Pray to End Abortion" sign & my yellow LIFE balloon. I said/sang the Holy Rosary reading a brief Joyful  Mystery medtation before singing each Hail Mary with our PW bird chirping away up in the trees & flying to & from the various signs.

I sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the conversion of abortionists & the closing of this abortion mill.  I could hear happy honks now & then & a lady walked by & gave me a big smile. Not many folks out walking this evening as it was quite chilly & windy. My fingers were really cold tonight but I made it through the prayer hour by putting on a second pair of gloves. Glad I always have extra gloves & scarfs to use on these cold nights.  (Jenny)

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil
 I hadn't even started praying yet & two cars of pro-life folks gave me smiles, waves & thumbs up. wow!!! :o) Facing WomanCare abortion mill, I blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit around me then said all the opening prayers. "O my goodness" as little Shirley Temple would say ~ it was so cold ~ in the 20's & with the wind, I bet even colder than that. I right away put on my second pair of gloves. My Pray to End Abortion sign was hanging from my right arm toward traffic & my big yellow LIFE balloon was bouncing around above me. For all involved in abortion in any way, especially for those women/men who still think their "choice" (to have their unborn baby killed) was okay, I said/sang the Holy Rosary reading a brief Glorious Mystery medtation before singing each Hail Mary. Again this evening, I could hear the PW bird chirping away as I passed by. I heard happy honks throughout the prayer hour as well. As the grass was solid, I was able to walk along next to the trees so folks could see my Pray to End Abortion sign instead of just my yellow LIFE balloon bounching above the huge piles of snow.

As I was walking back toward the abortion mill, I saw a bundled up PW walking toward me... could it be?... yes it was!!! precious Susan ~ how excellent!!!  We hugged hello & I told her how glad I was that she was feeling well enough to join me. She took over leading the Holy Rosary. When we finished, I was really feeling the chill & I knew Susan must get out of the cold so we sat in my car & warmed up with my pro-life sign in the front window & my LIFE balloon bouncing above my car. Folks driving by could see us PW's praying for the end of abortion. She led the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the conversion of abortionists & the closing of this abortion mill.  She then said the Prayer for the Conversion of Abortionists & their Staffs. We hugged good bye & both left for home. What a blessing that she was with me this evening in peaceful prayer for our precious, helpless, little unborn brothers & sisters.   (Jenny)

I faced WomanCare abortion mill, blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit around me then said all the opening prayers. Chilly & a bit windy so I walked to keep warm holding my Pray to End Abortion sign toward traffic with my big yellow LIFE balloon high above me. For all involved in abortion in any way, I offered up the Holy Rosary reading a brief Joyful Mystery before singing each Hail Mary. I could hear the PW birds chirping away as I passed by them. I heard happy honks, got thumbs up & waves from folks driving by. Five young teen boys walked by & smiled at me as I pointed to my sign & they all made the sign of the cross..so great.

I then sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. When I was making the sign of the cross, a van with mom, dad & young one in the back seat all made the sign of the cross with me..so great.  A car stopped by & the man made the sign of the cross toward me. I said, "thank you" & we exchanged smiles...so great..  Even though my fingers were freezing & the wind was a bit chilly, all the positive reactions this evening just warmed my heart. Lord, please help us pro-lifers to be Your light to all those who pass by while we pray for the precious unborn.

I said the Prayer for the Conversion of Abortionists & their Staffs & turned toward the big flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance to close my prayer vigil. It was so good to get into my car & warm up on the way home.   (Jenny)

Louise arrived...yeah!!! as I was reading the opening prayers. We shared her holy water & continued. Connie arrived...yeah!!! We said the Holy Rosary taking turns leading & reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery before each Hail Mary. This was for all involved in abortion in any way.   Norma arrived...yeah!!! with bread for our PW birds who were chirping loudly a few trees down from us, especially when we sing various parts of the Rosary.

For all abortionists & the closing of WomanCare abortion mill, we took turns leading the Chaplet of Divine Mercy with Saint Faustina's meditations on The Passion.  Happy honks of approval this eveing during our prayer time together.  We then said the Prayer for the Conversion of Abortionists & their Staffs & closed with the Pledge of Allegiance.  It is always so great when other PW's join you!!! SPRING 2014 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Day 9 - March 13

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil
As I got out of my car, I saw Richard...yeah!!! We shared holy water, faced WomanCare abortion mill & said The Prayer for the Helpless Unborn. It was 26 & a bit breezy so we decided to begin walking to keep warm. Richard led the Holy Rosary with a brief Luminous Mystery before each decade for the intentions he offered up before we started to pray. 

A young man & his mother drove over to us to chat a bit. He is a student at OCC & is writing a paper against abortion & wanted info about what were were doing out there so I gave him a our flyer & Richard gave him the info of the 40+ Right to Life folks at OCC, so he will be able to talk to them as well as checking out our website. It is always such a beautiful blessing for us to see how parents raised such a pro-life sons & daughters!!! :o) 

We continued our Rosary & Maribeth arrived...yeah!!! We heard a drive-by screamer "pro-choice, pro-choice, pro-choice." As we have said before, they don't stop to chat because they don't want to hear the truth about what we PW's are doing out there...they just want to scream their views. We said a prayer for her immediately. The simple fact is if they are pro-choice, they are pro killing innocent babies in the womb. My heart hurts that folks are ok with this. How did we get to this?!?!? Lord, help us!!!

As Richard was leading the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, two young men stopped to ask "are you pro-abortion?" Maribeth said "no, we are praying to END abortion." I showed them my sign so they could see it better "Pray to End Abortion."  They said "oh, that's good & gave us big smiles." Glad they took the time to talk to us so they could be reassured that we are AGAINST!!! killing babies.

Mike arrived...yeah!!! We finished the Chaplet, Richard read the Prayer for the Conversion of Abortionists & their Staffs, then we faced that beautiful American flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance to close our prayer hour.    (Jenny)
