October 6, 2013 -- DAY TWELVE - FALL 2013 40 DAYS FOR LIFE

2:00 p.m. Life Chain - Sanctity of LIFE

The Lord heard the silent prayers of our mighty prayer warriors and the voices of God's favorites, the children.  Thank you to all of the dedicated pro-life prayer warriors who joined in great witness and prayer proclaiming the sanctity of life.  Our heavenly Mother and Father were very well pleased as they heard our cries.  Let us persevere and not grow weary.  In God we trust. (sue k)

6:00 p.m. Vigil

I faced WomanCare abortion mill with pro-life signs facing traffic each way, blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground around me & said all my opening prayers. I offered up this prayer hour for all involved with abortion in any way. It then started raining so I said/sang the Holy Rosary underneath my big umbrella. It was raining pretty much the entire hour with fairly strong winds every now & then but I clamp my two signs together on either side of my legs, so they are not going anywhere.  I sang America songs after each decade of the Rosary. For the conversion of all abortion doctors, I sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.  All positives this evening ~ happy honks now & then & folks slowing down in front of my prayer area to wave & smile ~ rolling down their windows to give me thumbs up & saying "HI" with big smiles ~ just great!!!  My slacks got a little soaked but it was not that bad because it was in the 70's.  It was so great when it started to pour down rain real heavy because I could sing out in a loud voice the Hail Marys & Our Fathers & Chaplet of Divine Mercy & I knew nobody could hear me & think a was a little crazy plus I've been told that you are blest twice when you sing prayers so I just love to do that. As always, I asked all the little babies who have been aborted in this world, especially those who have been killed at WomanCare abortion mill, to join me in prayer from their Heavenly Home. :o)

As my hour ended the rain slowed down a bit & the sky was an absolutely beautiful rose color.  I faced the flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance & packed all my soaked stuff & left for home. Thank you, Jesus, for all the folks who show their support to us peaceful prayer warriors. :o)  I had a special blessing when my cell phone range during the Rosary & new pictures of my newborn great-nephew showed up... so precious!!! :o)  (Jenny)

October 5, 2013 -- DAY ELEVEN - FALL 2013 40 DAYS FOR LIFE

I faced WomanCare abortion mill with pro-life signs facing traffic each way, blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground around me & said all my opening prayers. I offered up this prayer hour for all involved with abortion in any way. I began the Holy Rosary reading a brief Glorious Mystery before each Hail Mary & noticed that George arrived with his precious son Daniel...yeah!!! Daniel sat in his little lawn chair facing traffic holding his pro-life sign with his dad standing next to him.  A group of boys & girls walked by & said "hi" & very sweetly looked at Daniel sitting there with his pro-life sign. What darling boys & girls!!! A young dad slowed down by us & gave us thumbs up & said "thank you!!!" with his darling little girl looking at us from the back seat.

After the Rosary was finished, George led the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the conversion of all abortion doctors.  Then we said various pro-life prayers from the 40 Days for Life Prayer Booklet.  To close our prayer vigil, we faced the flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance.  Good-bye hugs & we were all on our way home. The rain had held off for us, which was really great.  Thank you, Jesus for the blessing of George & his darling son Daniel being with me this evening praying for the unborn.  (Jenny)

October 4, 2013 -- DAY TEN - FALL 2013 40 DAYS FOR LIFE

Karen was finishing her 5pm prayer vigil as I arrived. We hugged hello, shared holy water & prayed in silence until she had to leave, she facing traffic holding her pro-life sign & myself facing the abortion mill holding my pro-life sign.  Susan arrived...yeah!!!  We said good bye to Karen then Susan took over reading the rest of the opening prayers & leading us in the Holy Rosary reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery meditation before each Hail Mary for all the pro-life intentions she had mentioned before we began praying together. Then she led the Chaplet of Divine Mercy especially for the conversion of all abortion doctors,  reading Saint Faustina's medications on The Passion.  To close our prayer time, we faced the American Flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance.  I was then glad to have the time to attend St. Malachy First Friday Service at 7pm

We heard a man say to us as he drove by, "God bless you ladies" & another man drove by & stopped in front of us & said "God bless you."  A young lady walking her darling little dog stopped to see how we were doing & we talked a bit with her.  I gave her a Baby Jesus prayer card & some extras to pass out to her pro-life friends.  Two negatives were "go home" & something yelled at us by a drive-by screamer that we could not understand.  Susan said it didn't sound like English.  As always, we prayed for the conversion of the souls of the negative folks. So great to see how happy Karen was to be able to have that hour to pray for the unborn & also that Susan was feeling well enough to come out to pray.  (Jenny)

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

Even though a bit windy, another beautiful Michigan evening to pray for the unborn last night.  I blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground around me & started praying all my opening prayers. Maribeth arrived...yeah!!! as did our little PWB chirping away as Maribeth continued to the rest of the opening prayers for all involved in abortion in any way.  We then began the Holy Rosary with Maribeth's reflection before each Luminous Mystery as well as reading a brief meditation before each Hail Mary.  Lots of positive throughout the entire prayer hour & smiles from folks passing by & a thumbs up pump from a gal who drove up to us, slowed down a bit them thumbs up pump again with a big smile to show her approval of us being there in peaceful prayer for the precious, helpless unborn.  It sure would be nice if all those passing by with a Rosary hanging from their rear view mirror would stop by & lead one prayer with us ~ I hope for that each night.

We two closed singing the Chaplet of Divine Mercy especially for the conversion of all abortion doctors.  O Lord, please help them find there way away from the culture of death into Your light & truth. We faced the flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance. Then the negative ~ "you dumb asses" was yelled at us by a drive-by screamer.  Maribeth & I looked at each other then broke out in laughter.  She said "how endearing, to be called that" & reminded me about the donkey in the bible story (where God needed to use a donkey to make the path straight -- and yes, we will be used like the donkey!!!).  Also, on my way home I remembered about the donkey that they did not feed for 3 days & St. Francis I believe held up the Blessed Sacrament while the donkey's owner held up some hay on the other side of the little street & that dear, sweet animal walked over to the Blessed Sacrament & knelt down in praise to our Lord.  So,  we were not displeased at all by being called dumb asses.  Blessed are those who are called names for My sake, for their reward is great in Heaven ~ not the exact words of our Lord but you all know what I mean. October 2, 2013 -- DAY EIGHT - FALL 2013 40 DAYS FOR LIFE

7:00 a.m. Prayer Vigil
Paul and I prayed silently. At 8:00 a.m., a man stopped his car and asked if anyone had gone in for an abortion. I responded that no one was there. He answered, "Well don't harass my sister" …then drove away. He was wearing hospital scrubs. Then prayer warrior Cindy arrived to continue the prayers and witness. In God we trust. (Sue K)

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

Another beautiful Michigan evening to pray for the unborn last night. I blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground around me & started praying all my opening prayers. Right away a negative from a drive-by screamer ~ "don't you have anything better to do?" I turned toward traffic not knowing who had asked me that question & held up my Rosary with my hands in a prayer for him & hopefully he will realize some day that we PW's who pray out there for the protection of the unborn are doing what God asks us to do because we will not stand by in silence anymore while unborn babies are being killed in such a horrific way. I said a prayer for that misguided soul.

Maribeth arrived...yeah!!! She took over reading the opening prayers then led us in the Holy Rosary with a brief Joyful Mystery reflection from her heart to begin each decade & read a brief meditation before each Hail Mary. As we were praying & singing "Ave, Ave, Ave Maria" we could hear a little birdie way up on the top of the telephone pole just singing away really!!! loud. We could not stop smiling. We called him/her our PWB (Prayer Warrior Birdie) cuz for about three decades he/she just sang out loudly!!! from way above us as we two prayed & sang below ~ just tooo sweet how God gives us these blessings while we prayed. The rest of the evening were all positives.

For the conversion of all abortion doctors, we said/sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy then turned toward the beautiful American flag on the other side of the street & said The Pledge of Allegiance with our hands on our hearts.

As we were leaving, Sadeer, came to be a 7pm PW & asked Maribeth if he could have his own pro-life sign to use while he prayed & she was happy to give him one. How great!!! the 7-8 hour would be filled with a young man holding high a pro-life sign to Pray To End Abortion. Thank you, Jesus, for getting more & more men involved with being out there in peaceful prayer. (Jenny)

October 1, 2013 -- DAY SEVEN - FALL 2013 40 DAYS FOR LIFE

7:00 a.m. Prayer Vigil

What a great way to start the day! I arrived and new warrior, Paul, from St. Lawrence was already there!  We introduced ourselves and what a gentleman. Paul held a sign and accepted a copy of our prayer book and the Baby Jesus prayer card.  Then Paul B. arrived, then Daryl. The four of us prayed silently as the sun rose. At the end of the hour Paul said that he would be back tomorrow.  We are blessed with another dedicated prayer warrior.  We will patiently wait for the Lord to send us more prayer warriors.  In God we trust. (Sue K)

6:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil

Another beautiful evening for prayer last night but really windy, my pro-life sign would not stay leaning against my legs so I held it up the entire hour, turning it from side-to-side so folks going by each way could see those 3 darling baby faces smiling at them on the sign: THE COST OF ABORTION & also the other side: PRAY TO END ABORTION.
All positives this evening & God sent 2 special blessings. A man stopped on his bike to ask why I was praying on the grass. I said I'm praying that the killing of unborn babies will stop in there & pointed to WomanCare abortion mill.  He said 'I know, but why pray here?"  I said, we are not allowed to be at their door, the police say we must pray on the grass.  He said "oh I see. God bless you" with a big smile.  The 2nd blessing was from a man stopped by the light…he asked from his car, "excuse me, when are people praying here?" I said 7a.m. to 7p.m. daily for 40 days which runs thru Nov 3rd." He said, "great, I'll stop by to say hello." I said thank you & God bless you.  Hope he will have time to pray a bit with the PW/PW's that are here when he arrives & hopefully he will check out our website &/or talk to them & be moved by the Holy Spirit to start praying out there often as a dedicated PW for the unborn, their moms & dads.  Thank you, Jesus, for another really beautiful prayer hour last night.
I faced WomanCare abortion mill, blest myself with holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground around me & said all my opening prayers for all involved in abortion in any way & also said/sang the Holy Rosary, reading a brief Glorious Mystery before singing each Hail Mary. For the conversion of all abortion doctors, I sang the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.  I said the Pledge of Allegiance as I held my hand on my heart & looked at that beautiful American flag on the other side of the street. Always get tears in my eyes cuz I love this country so much & am so sad about how some of our leaders have turned their backs on God & are doing such evil in this nation of ours. Hope my fellow conservative Americans are WAKING UP & will vote in pro-life, God-loving, God-fearing, America-loving leaders from now on to get us back on the right track, protecting our freedoms, bringing jobs back here, etc, etc, etc.  Lord, help America. Amen!!!
When I was leaving, the man who owns the Chinese carry out that I go to waved good-bye.  He had told me that if he had time, he would join me in prayer there but they are always so busy so I know he is praying for the end of abortion from in there.  (Jenny)

September 30, 2013 -- DAY SIX - FALL 2013 40 DAYS FOR LIFE

Beautiful evening for prayer tonight AND the abortion mill was closed.  I faced WomanCare abortion mill, blest myself with holy water, sprinkled a bit on the ground around me & began the opening prayers for all involved in abortion in any way.  A young lady pulled in & drove right next to me, read my "Pray to End Abortion" sign, gave me the thumbs up & said "Thank You."   That was so nice of her to take time to stop by with her encouragement!!!
Then Maribeth arrived...yeah!!! She took over reading the opening prayers & leading the Holy Rosary reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery before each Hail Mary.  Paul arrived to pray for a bit a little ways from where Maribeth & I were praying.  After a while, we said our good–byes, as he had to leave. So great that folks just stop by to "pray a bit" for the precious, helpless unborn!!!  We heard a couple of drive-by screamers & prayed for their hardened hearts.  (The two young men who were on ladders painting the building looked at the drive-by screamers like there were crazy.) Hopefully, when the men & women who scream at us grow up, they will think, geeezzzzz, what a dumb thing that was to scream at the peaceful folks praying at that abortion mill.  All we can do is pray that they will see God's light & truth.
Maribeth then led the Chaplet of Divine Mercy by reading Saint Faustina's meditations on The Passion & we offered this up especially for the conversion of abortion doctors.  We heard happy honks & more folks drove by with smiles & nods of approval.  Some women just had blank looks on their face as they drove by. We felt very sad for them because they most likely are hurting in some way from abortion.  We closed our prayer vigil as always looking at that beautiful American flag & said the Pledge of Allegiance.  We hugged good-bye & both started for home.  (Jenny)
