As I
arrived at the abortion mill, Nick was saying his Rosary as he walked back
& forth along the sidewalk & Paul was facing the mill saying his
Rosary. We said our hello's then Nick had to leave & I stood a bit behind
Paul & began my prayer hour. I blest myself with holy water &
sprinkled a bit on the ground around me & began the opening
prayers. Maribeth arrived...yeah!!! She took over reading our opening
prayers as we walked along the grass area to & from the light.
She offered up all the intentions we would be praying for & led
us in the Holy Rosary with her own meditation before each decade as well as
reading a brief Sorrowful Mystery meditation before each Hail Mary.
As
we were singing Ave, Ave, Ave Maria, Ave, Ave, Maria, we noticed that traffic
had stopped for the light & a young man had his window rolled down &
was looking at us with a big smile & was waiting for us to finish our
singing then said, "GOD BLESS YOU GUYS!!!" He was one of the
MANY folks who were smiling, waving, giving us thumbs up & smiles &
nods of approval as they drove by this evening. We sure do appreciate how many
folks are happy that we peaceful prayer warriors continue to be out there
speaking up for the helpless, precious, tiny little girls & boys in the
womb. My personal prayer is that those who show this approval will take an
extra five minutes to stop & lead us in a prayer or read one of their
favorite bible verses or read one of the prayers from our 40 Days for Life
Booklet. This does happen every now & then which is such a great blessing
for us on-site PW's. We also heard our PWB chirping away (he/she has a very distinct whistling tweet!) as Maribeth & I
walked under the tree where we heard that darling bird... too precious!!!
Maribeth
then led the Chaplet of Diving Mercy & we closed our prayer hour by facing
that beautiful American flag on the other side of the street & said the
Pledge of Allegiance. Still sunny & warm out but we Michiganders know
what is on its way!!! We PW's know how to dress in layers & layers to face
the bitter cold, so no problem! (Jenny)
