6:00 p.m. Vigil
Had to dress much warmer this evening, layers, scarf, gloves due to the chilly wind & 10 degrees cooler. I faced WomanCare abortion mill with pro-life signs facing traffic each way, blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground around me & started the opening prayers. Maribeth arrived...yeah!!! During the Holy Rosary & Chaplet of Divine Mercy, we meditated on various pro-life scripture verses she read for us before each prayer of the Rosary. This is a very nice way to pray for the unborn, meditating on what God says about abortion booklet. Paul stopped by & stood in his own prayer area & prayed for a bit then had to go.
We hear happy honks, smiles/nods of approval from those walking/driving by, blank expression from a jogger & a drive-by screamer "go home." He should know by now that we pro-lifers are NOT going anywhere when innocent, helpless babies in the womb are being killed. We will be out there in peaceful prayer for their parents to chose life for them until abortion ends or until we get called Home. Remember, Michigan will now be getting a lot colder these days, so please remember to layer when you dress for your prayer time & bring a scarf or two & gloves. We don't want to get sick & then not be able to cover our prayer hours. (Jenny)
