I arrived early at WomanCare to get items out for the noon Rosary Rally, blest myself with holy water & sprinkled a bit on the ground. Maribeth arrived at noon
& she & I held the banner "Praying the Rosary for America,
Please Join Us." We began singing Immaculate Mary then Maribeth led the
Holy Rosary offering a Joyful Mysery meditation before each decade,
then we said the St. Michael Prayer & various other prayers from
the America Needs Fatima booklet. About 45 minutes into our prayers,
Fadia from St. Ronald joined us. She was on her way to pray at a
chapel, saw us two out there & decided to join us. She led another
Rosary to close out our prayer hour. Many positives toward our little
group during this prayer hour & the negative gave us a chance to say
a special prayer for that hardened heart. We gave Fadia info re 40
Days for Life & a Baby Jesus Prayer card & I do believe we have a
new PW who will be out there these next few weeks as our prayer vigil
goes continues through to Sun (Nov 3rd).
I returned for the 6pm
Prayer Vigil, faced the abortion mill with two pro-life signs
toward traffic in each direction, blest myself with holy water &
sprinkled the ground around me then said all the opening prayers &
said/sang the Holy Rosary reading a brief Luminous Mystery medication
before each Hail Mary. Pretty peaceful hour for me out there. Folks
driving by, nodding their approval with smiles. he last ten minutes I
decided to walk to the light & back a few times along the grass area
& when I heard a negative "get a life" & a few other
non-so-nice words from a drive-by screamer it gave me the chance to
say a prayer to Jesus for his troubled soul. Why so hateful? He needs
the healing of Jesus for sure to help him understand what abortion is
doing to our world. I prayed he would find peace one day. Geeez, what
better way to spend an hour out of your day than praying for the life to
be saved of a little unborn baby?!?!? There are still folks out there
who need lots!!! of our prayers. Right away, a young teen boy rode his
bike past me & said "God bless you" with a big smile. So nice!!!
A young lady riding her bike stopped to talk about her experience at
WomanCare long ago. She went there for a check up before she got married
at their office when it was located down the road a bit I guess.
Anyways, her first check up was ok but after her second visit she noted
all the women crying & it hit her what they were doing in there
& to see it still going on here at their place on 15 & Dodge
Park is very sad but she & I talked about how positive it is for us
PW's to be out there then BAM!!! the front tire of her bike exploded...
wow, what a shock, she had put too much air in it. She lives close so
would just walk home, no problem. A young man slowed down in his car
& said, "don't stop praying" I said "we won't, don't worry, God
bless you for caring." He gave us thumbs up. Then it was 7:00
& time to leave for home, getting darker now a little earlier. I
gave the young woman info re the prayer vigils & a Baby Jesus prayer
card & since she lives close will most likely be another PW for the
unborn. Thank you, Jesus, for these two Prayer Vigils today & all
the positive pro-life folks who gave all that encouragement. We know we
must speak out for the unborn who have no rights in our world.
